Teacher Generated Lessons
For Amazing British Columbia

The ink was scarcely dry on the natural history alphabet book, Amazing British Columbia, when teachers began developing lessons based on the book.

I'll be adding lessons here as I collect them, so if you have something special you have done with the book, contact me. Later, I'll put up a form you can use to make the submission process easier.

Writing Lesson/Social Studies

by Kathy Reid, West Sechelt Elementary
Grades 1-3
The students were already familiar with No Two Snowflakes by Sheree Fitch(opens in a new window). In that story, children in Canada and Africa share what is special about the places they live in.

After Kathy's students had read and discussed Amazing British Columbia, they wrote a description of British Columbia that would interest someone who had never been here.
